I’m a student at De Montfort University, studying Computing. It’s currently mind numbingly simple, but I live in the hope that one day a challenge will present itself. It’s simplicity doesn’t mean I achieve high mark bands in my work, quite the opposite. I usually get bored and rush the work making more time for more interesting things – like correcting my chmod structure or contemplating why evolution would take away our tails – and so I end up with considerably lower grades than I should.

I’m currently mentally planning how I would go about making my room have voice activated everything, using pseudo-AI, with a pseudo-personality. Maybe I’ll do an update showing how far my thought process has gone into this. I also want to make an LED systems, which can be attached to my wall, and have it’s text updated online. It’d be nice to wake up to random messages from my friends, and probably /b/.

The rules only apply to raids, so don’t start flaming me for mentioning /b/.

My current server (it’s actually a VPS) is awful. I’m not sure if that’s due to its low specs, bad hardware, or just that I’ve messed up my Debian installation by installing thousands of unneeded packages. Its low specs is definitely a problem though; 64MB RAM isn’t enough to run CPAN. If you refresh this page right now, twice in a row, you’ll probably crash MySQL. Heavens forbid that I ever become interesting enough to get dugg.

I actually have zero hobbies away from technology, unless you count playing my xbox. Which I don’t. Count it, I mean. I play my xbox all the time. At the moment though I can’t seem to connect my laptop to my xbox 360, not my xbox 360 to my internet, so my xbox live account hasn’t been updated in a while.

I’m angered pretty easy if you’re negative about the following things;

  • Wikipedia
  • Open source
  • Politics

People troll me all the time, IRL. Ican never seem to hold myself back. It’s these times that make Computer Technology interesting.
